Collecting Funny Stuff to Help with Depression

I am sure that I have mentioned sometime before that I have a collection of funny stuff that I use to help when I am feeling depressed. This is something that can be a real help at times.

When you find something that makes you laugh or love it can be a good idea to save it.

If you are on your computer and find an image or meme that makes you smile then you should save it onto your computer of phone in a folder.

And after a while you will have a folder full of things that make you laugh.

And that folder is a place that you can go to when you are feeling down and depressed.

And it doesn’t have to be only things that are funny. It can be things that comfort you or things that really resonate with you or that you can relate to.

Anything that helps make you feel not as alone or like the only person that is going through this.

And it doesn’t have to be just things online. It can be things outside of it to.

having a box or a chest full of things that help.

I myself have a collection of quotes that I find funny or just love from my favorite shows. And all of these quotes line one of my walls by my bed.

I do that so that if I am ever feeling down all I have to do is turn and look at those things.

And this isn’t a miracle worker.

It will not make be like a switch has been turned and you are no longer depressed.

But you will feel a bit better.

And that alone can be one of the best feelings when you are depressed.

That one sliver of happiness can go along way for a depressed person.

So find what makes you happy and save it for when you need it.

That funny picture can go along way some day.

  1. Hi Anastasia, this is such a brilliant idea! I love pictures of flowers and I am making a scrapbook of all my photos but like you say, it can be of anything that makes one feel happy and calm. Fab!
